Yesterday marked the twenty-first day of large street protests in the Russian city of Khabarovsk, a city of 600,000 that serves as the capital of the Russian district of Khabarovsk Krai. The street protests were sparked by the sudden nighttime arrest of the district’s popular governor, Sergey Furgal, on July 9, 2020.
